"Caruso"

"Caruso"

ŽŽ’®‚·‚é^WMEQT

This is one of the all time great songs and rather intimidating to sing. It has been done by so many of my idols that I wanted to make sure it was the right time before I tackled it. I felt that this album was the right time and I'm very happy with it. The lyric is very fast during the verse but slows down to a sweeping melody in the chorus.

poi all'improvviso usci una lacrima

cosi vicini e veri

ti fan scordare le parole,

confondono i pensieri

cosi diventa tutto piccolo,

Here where the sea sparkles

And the wind blows hard on an old terrace

In front of the Gulf of Sorrento

A man embraces a young woman

After having cried, he clears his throat

And begins to sing again

@

I want you so very much

But so much, so much that it's now a chain

That releases the blood in my veins

@

He saw the lights in the middle of the sea

He thought of the nights in America

But they were only the lights from the boat

And the white wake of a propeller

He felt the sadness in the music

And got up from the piano

@

But when he saw

The moon emerge from behind a cloud

To him even death seemed sweeter

He looked into the eyes of the young woman

Those eyes, green like the sea,

Later a tear unexpectedly escapes

And he thought he was drowning

@

I want you so very much

But so much, so much that it's a chain

That releases the blood in my veins

@

Power of the opera

Where every drama is false

That with a little makeup and with gestures

You can become someone else

But two eyes that watch you

So near and true

They make you forget the words

They confuse your thoughts

Thus everything becomes small

Even the nights there in America

@

You turn around and see your life

Like the wake of a propeller

But it is life that ends

But he wasn't thinking much about it

He was happy once upon a time

And recommenced his song

@

I want you so very much

But so much, so much that it's now a chain

That releases the blood in my veins
